November 2010
Shalom Haverim and Families
I hope you all have a wonderful Fall Break.I was so excited to get back to school to see all of my smiling faces.
Believe it or not Hanukkah is just around the corner and we haven’t even celebrated Thanksgiving yet. This month we have some exciting activities planned for your little ones. In October we started on working on our first Hebrew letter “SHIN”. The children really enjoyed learning a new letter along with studying the letter “S” for snake, and spider and many other fun words. This week we started with the Hebrew letter “NUN” and did some fun art with it. Along with “NUN” we are talking about the letter “N” like in nest. You might be wondering what is hanging up on our bulletin board, well it is a nest for our Turkeys of course. Please feel free to check it out with your children; it is a hands on experience. The weeks to follow we will be covering the Hebrew letters of “GIMMEL” and “HAY” to finish off the all of the letters found on the dreidel. We are working on Chanukah songs and games and will be preforming for you all on December 3rd at our Hanukkah Family Party.
November 15th is our Native American Day Harvest Festival and we need your help! Please sign up if you have a chance, it will be a lot of fun!
November 20th is our special Garden Day for all of the TBT classes and their families please sign up soon there will be fun activities planned for the children while the parents are having fun working in the garden. Don’t miss out! 8-10 am!!
